A day trip to Mirror Lake

21 Jul

Our trip to Mirror Lake last Saturday was done under the guise of fishing, but you’ll see no fishing in these pics. Dad caught around 30 from his float tube, both little brothers about half that many– again, from float tubes.

Even if my float tube weren’t in storage right now, I probably wouldn’t have had a chance to break it out because when you’ve got 5 little kids on a lake shore, the last place their dad needs to be is out on the lake in a float tube. So our little family was relegated to shore casting. And the magic just wasn’t happening for the shore casters Saturday. Nah, it wouldn’t have anything to do with the swimmers or the rock throwing or the guy learning to paddle his new canoe right in front of our lines.

Still, the trip was a good one. Here are some pics:

Dad may be on duty, but the kids are having a ball! Doesn’t get better than that!
    Best regards,
